Ladies and gentlemen, it's good to meet you again today. First of all, I want to wish you a blessed day, as you all deserve. Well, today I want to show you the new card I've painted. It's i178 Pink Trombone. This would be the second trombone I've painted in the set. The first one, if you remember, was yellow; today it's pink. In case you don't know it, in case you've been living under a rock your whole life, (just kidding) 😅 This is one of the most used instruments in music today. And one of the most common, one that almost all of us have seen at some point. I think it's one of the most versatile because it can be used in almost every musical genre.
The trombone differs from the trumpet mainly because of its elongated arm. The trumpet uses valves to control the airflow, but the trombone uses the arm. This works like an air pump that can increase the duration of the sound and helps create the notes.
To draw it, I started by making the frame. It consists of two parts, which you're probably familiar with from one of my previous posts.
Then I made the upper part of the trombone, where the sound comes out. It's the part that most resembles a trumpet or a cornet. If I left it like this, you'd probably think it was a cornet. Attached to it, I made the trombone arm, the part where it's held and extended, and part of the remaining body of the trombone.
Then I worked inside the trombone, adding details, such as some contours to give it more volume. I also added some extra lines in various places so it wouldn't look so thin. In other words, to make it look more realistic.
To paint everything, I started by painting the card frame, then the two backgrounds, and finally the trombone. The digital colors I used were light blue, black, purple, and, of course, pink. I'll show you part of the process.
To finish, my colleagues added the card's name, ID number, and game name. I also added the blue bar at the top in this final step. The last thing I added was the card's category, which is common. See you in the next drawing.
