Road to Steemfest #9: Fears!

Wow can you believe it! Steemfest Bangkok is only a couple weeks away! This is a time where emotions start creeping in and they can range all over the place from pure excitement to extreme fear! That is what this Road to Steemfest blog post is about FEAR!

Anyone who has been following my blog for some time would probably assume I've had to push fears to the side to be traveling for over 16 years. Fear often comes with the unknown. Fear often is served up with some culture shock. Fear can arise when doing something you have never done before. Fear can come from social anxiety. Fortunately for me I have never been a fearful person.

Making things even easier, Thailand is a country that I've been visiting for for the past 15 years and I'm very familiar with it. I love the country, so no fear just pure happiness and excitement. I seldom get culture shock anymore and it certainly won't be happening in a country I've spent so much time in.

In fact I'm very much looking forward to spending another winter in Thailand. But this time I've got a great travel companion to go with. We made plans to head down to the island of Koh Phagnan after the party. We just booked this sweet luxury resort at an incredible price of just 18 dollars a night. It's on the west coast of the island, the sunset coast at the Haadyao Bayview Resort and Spa. So I'm super thrilled about not only steemfest but this winter in general. This will be my third consecutive winter in Thailand. Life is goooood!

As far as the actual party. No anxiety there either as i went to steemfest last year in Poland and had the time of my life. One big drinking, eating, and socializing event with other members of steemit! Count me in! But this time with warm weather and a swimming pool! Are you kidding me, I'm all about it! And I'll have my beautiful French Girlfriend with me; it's going to be a great time! So I have no fear, that does me no good, that doesn't do anyone any good.

Those with a little life experience know that fear is the thing that keeps people down, stuck in the mud, prevents you from living your dreams and your true potential. Fear can be debilitating, irrational, and down right destructive. So anyone feeling anxiety or fear regarding coming to Thailand or Steemfest in general, I say....Do not worry! Thailand is awesome! Steemfest is awesome! We are all going to have an amazing time!
