DEAR STEEMERS <3
After a nice stay in Germany our road trip goes to Prague and it took us about 7 hours to get there. The day before we drove to the next city we book a hotel room outside the city we want to visit from this website www.booking.com It is sometimes difficult to find a hotel where we can park our car outside the hotel but this time we were lucky!
We stayed at Hotel Kladno in a small city called Kladno 30 kilometers from Prague. It is a calm and quiet city though people was difficult talking to. Once we were trying to find a ATM and ask people we met but they would just walk by. We did not know if they have difficulty communicating in English or they thought we wanted their money hehe :D But we met also people who was very kind and helpful
About changing money
There is no EUR in Czech Republic, the currency there are “koruna”. You have to be careful when changing money, rates can be extortionate!
First of all, check if they charge a commission, and, secondly, if the rate is good. Before giving them your money, ask them how much you will receive.
We have decided to book a hotel room 30 kilometers from Prague because we want to avoid the traffic and the chaos in the middle of the city. We also wanted to experience the smaller cities in those countries we stayed in and see how the people live in those cities and what these cities have to offer.
You have also many options where you can stay, here are some websites you can look in to:
This is the hotel we stayed in. This is a 3-star hotel. I will say it is an okay and cheap hotel but it is worn. Luckily the hotel is located 100 m from the bus stop - Náměstí Sítná, where we took the bus to Prague. We chose hotels with minimum 3-star and which includes free car parking.
Are you ready for some pictures from Prague? ;)
I just want to say that we were only in Prague for one day and it was limited what we could see. But I hope you will enjoy what we have to show.
We walked around in the Wenceslas Square and as you can see the Czech National Museum is under construction.
I saw a Greenland flag in the middle of a market in Prague and I was surprised and happy that someone from Greenland just been there and painted this brick.
I love when people entertain. This woman made soap bubbles on the street and the children was so interested in touching them. Just walk around and experience the city is wonderful.
On the street there was a man entertaining with different kind of music as you can hear in the video. It was a pleasant surprise to watch people thinking outside the box.
A picture of my fiancé Mikael when we were in Národní museum to see exhibition of Noah’s Ark. You can see what we saw in exhibition below.
The exhibition reveals the remarkable beauty and diversity of animal species on earth.
When we were in Prague there was a lot of places we did not see and we recommend that you visit those places:
The Astronomical clock
The clock is 605 years old and do not only shows the time and date, but also the position of the sun, phases of the moon, astronomical cycles and festivals of the Christian calendar. The dancing house
This Is a goodnight picture. Vienna will be the next destination. ;)
Thanks a lot for reading my post. :)
