Happy thursday my AMAZING HIVERS
Today is a "Special" day in Sweden
and working with kids like I do
in preeschool we do this...
We celebrate this day by wearing
different colors on our socks.
Rock the socks!
In Sweden and some other countries, World Down Syndrome Day is
celebrated by Rocking the
Socks. 🧦
By wearing different socks on March
21, you participate in the special celebration of the day and show
that you stand up for the equal
value and rights of all people.
And we do this every year altho
the kids love wearing different
socks other days to 😁 lol
PAINTING SOCKS!
They painted and drew some socks
with whatever shape and patterns
they could think of making.
This one was pretty cool and the
boy painting it was like...
I didn't drew the socks I'm wearing
Today, but ones I like instead.
We also watched a movie about a
boy named Max, he explains
what down syndrome is.
It is a genetic disorder caused by
the presence of all or part of a
third copy of chromosome 21
A simpel but well aducated movie
that gives the kids a idea of what
it means to be different.
We have some kids at our preeschool
with special needs and our kids
knows and have a incredleble
acceptance for them.
We are all friends and being different
is what makes us unique ❤️
Then we ended the day with the
Rock the socks song 😜 lol
And when you heard it once it is impossible to get it out of your
head 🙈 OMG..
Rock... Rock the socks!!
Stop combine, dare to mix and
go a little crazy.. Ooohhh 😁
So it was a fun and educating day 😉👍
Love how kids embrace each
other and acts with kids
with special needs.
True soul friends and makes my ❤️
heart hopeful for the future of
our next generations.
