I went out today and took some pictures of my rosebush. It bloomed beautifully after I had given the bush up as dead. Most of the plant is truly dead, but a portion of it came to life with a glorious result.
The roses are a deep orange when they first bud and as they start to open, a slight pink color begins to pop out.
As the bloom matures, the bright orange begins to fade into a pretty pink hue. When it peaks in beauty the orange color becomes a little more pastel, but still very orange.
In the final stage the blossom fades out into the lightest shade of pink, almost white, at the end of its life.
I was considering digging up this bush. I was so sure it would never bloom again. I was pleasantly surprised and so glad I gave it a chance to show me that it still has some life left in it!
