From Maracaibo to Colombia.

Well, I am Maracucha, that is the name of those who are born in Maracaibo, a city in Venezuela where the heat is inclement but the idiosyncrasy of the people helps you to withstand the temperature. Maracaibo is called "The Land of the Beloved Sun"

The political problem that we live in our country is no longer a secret to anyone, which has led many to migrate looking for a better way of living, since there is a dictatorship in Venezuela and everyone who does not think the government the same or does not accept the The idea of living under a regime has had to flee.
As for me, I have had the grace of God to have come to Colombia, a country that has opened its doors to many Venezuelans who came to spend time here while the terrible storm is passing in our country. I already have a year in Villa de Leyva, Department of Boyacá.

Villa de Leyva is a small town that is tourist and farmer. It is sown mainly onion and tomato. I have learned a lot about these crops, especially onion, since we plant this field on the farm and every 3 months when it is harvested, we all work at home to get a little money.
Villa de Leyva has a main church where on weekends you can see different acts such as weddings, baptisms or the fairs that take place in the plaza. In December I had the opportunity to see La Billo´s Caracas Boys, a Venezuelan orchestra singing in Colombia like many who left the country.
The fun does not stop in Villa de Leyva, there are horses, bicycles, motorcycles and ATVs (4-wheel motorcycles) are the most famous in the city. There are mountains and rivers here and they are all known for being a small town.

I will soon have to leave this beautiful city because we are scheduled to return to Venezuela, the quarantine has stopped us. But when that happens I will take very fond memories of Colombia, its customs, its landscapes and its people.
What if I want to return to Colombia?
I love Venezuela, I will return for my family and I left everything there, but I want to return to this country where I found that the myths were not what I had heard and where I learned a lot. I just want to say not a goodbye, but a see you soon

Hola queridos amigos de la colmena.
Entre los temas que nos da el extra rally escogí el: ¨Vives en el área donde naciste ? Si no, qué te impulsó a alejarte ?¨
Bueno, soy Maracucha, ese es el gentilicio de los que son nacidos en Maracaibo, una ciudad de Venezuela donde el calor es inclemente pero la idiosincrasia de la gente te ayuda a soportar la temperatura. Maracaibo es llamada ¨La tierra del Sol Amada¨

Para nadie ya es un secreto la problemática política que vivimos en nuestro país, la cual ha llevado a muchos a migrar buscando una mejor forma de vivir, ya que hay una dictadura en Venezuela y todo el que no piensa igual al gobierno o no acepta la idea de vivir bajo régimen ha tenido que huír.
En lo que a mi respecta, he contado con la gracia de Dios de haberme venido a Colombia, país que ha abierto sus puertas a muchos Venezolanos que vinieron a pasar un tiempo aquí mientras pasa la terrible tempestad en nuestro país. Ya tengo un año en Villa de Leyva, Departamento de Boyacá.
Villa de Leyva es una pequeña ciudad que es turística y agricultora. Se siembra principalmente cebolla y tomate. He aprendido mucho sobre estos cultivos, sobre todo el de cebolla ya que en la granja sembramos ese rubro y cada 3 meses que es cuando se cosecha, trabajamos todos los de la casa para obtener un poco de dinero.
Villa de Leyva tiene una iglesia principal donde los fines de semana puedes ver diferentes actos como matrimonios, bautizo o las ferias que las hacen en la plaza. En Diciembre tuve la oportunidad de ver a La Billo´s Caracas Boys, orquesta Venezolana cantando en Colombia como muchos que salieron del país.
La diversión no para el Villa de Leyva, hay caballos, bicicletas, motos y cuatrimotos (motos de 4 ruedas) son las más famosas en la ciudad. Aquí hay montañas y ríos y todos se conocen por ser un pueblo pequeño.
Pronto tendré que dejar esta hermosa ciudad porque tenemos programado volver a Venezuela, nos ha detenido la cuarentena. Pero cuando eso pase me llevaré muy gratos recuerdos de Colombia, sus costumbres, sus paisajes y su gente.
Que si quiero volver a Colombia ?
Amo a Venezuela, volveré por mi familia y todo lo que dejé allá, pero quiero volver a este país donde encontré que los mitos no eran los que había escuchado y donde aprendí mucho. Solo quiero decir no un adiós, sino un hasta luego.
