Hit the mean streets of DC and the rail-to-trail today and put in some miles!
The weather was great starting out, but by mile 12 it took a chilly and wet turn. That put a bit of a hitch in our get along and struggled to maintain motivation and finish up for the day. We maintained a pretty good pace, but definitely started to slow down as we lost some motivation/got tired. Overall though I not too bad.
This will probably be about my highest mileage before my 50 mile event in May. Probably should do more, but I don't want to risk injury too much and the time commitment is a bit much to get anything over 10 miles or so.
I'll be ramping up my 6-8 mile rucks to 3 or 4 a week with probably a 10-12 miler thrown in there. Movement is movement and especially for something like rucking I don't really think a total replication or close replication of the distance is 100% necessary.
