Edge Computingsounds like something the marketing department of Phoneboy inc. would come up with .. in short it would be the fact that it came from the mainframe, went to the PC, went back to the *cloud* which is the mainframe and now with the invention of this abstract concept called privacy due to facebook analytics and what not ... goes back to put the computer where the data is
"edge computing"will take a year or ten (like bitcoin) before anyone notices they've been ranting about the cloud (which they took up five years after) but all those punks are on another train for years ... now i personlly never liked all that cloud and phonestuff and it has COST me a lot of data , because if whoever operates your local cloud (lol) says ,you're out there's virtually nothing you can do about it ... which cost me more than one google and two onedrives ... with among other things photos, which i stored there because OMG what if my drive crashes, photos ill never get back, not a disaster but they are personnal memories, moments in time eternified, now GONE for all eternity
