After waiting for more than a week I finally got my hands on these bad boys:
Anyone who is remotely serious about trail running recognizes them as the Salomon Speed Cross series of shoes with their aggressive lugs and distinctive toe box. They are very popular with people that enjoy running in the great outdoors.
I want to do some more trail races this year and I felt I needed to upgrade my running shoes with something which is both waterproof and protects my feet on demanding courses.
I still haven't made a calendar of the races I want to get involved in this year but I'm looking with interest at some of them that involve more running in the snow. The race that I have in mind has a pretty demanding course, so I'm a bit on the fence if I should sign up or not. If I do go all in, I'll write a post about it and document the race because the scenery and course are pretty spectacular.
After I get to test out these shoes for a couple of months I will do a review about them, and I'm very excited about the whole process :)
I'll leave you with this track:
Soon after I got the shoes, I started singing this tune in my head but instead of "new rules" I was saying "new shoes" :))
Take care :D
