Today I achieved the halfway mark or the equator as calls it from the challenge set by
. For more information about this challenge and how to participate, follow this link. If you think it's too late to join, just read a bit further. There's still plenty of time!
I thought this would be a nice moment to list a few stats of the first 25 runs and also take a moment to look ahead.
Todays run, clear and beautiful but cold and humid at the same time. That's my colleague up ahead!
I'm now getting pretty used to running in the cold and in the winter, so my lunchtime-runs are beginning to become easier as well. I ran again with my colleague, which is another nice motivator as you do start to need some in this season. Yesterday it snowed a lot, but as it started to ran towards the evening, most of it had disappeared again by the time we took off. It was a nice and clear day, but due to the fog that was there in the morning it was very humid, 93%. We did our normal course in a 'normal' time. We did the 8,5km in 49,5 minutes.
Here are my totals and average stats for my first 25 runs:
A few highlights:
- I ran 228 kilometers in 22 hours and 18 minutes
- I burnt 17.054 calories, an average of 682 per run
- My average run was 9,12 kilometers and had a fitness intensity of 3,7
- My average step was 1 meter and 13 centimeters long
Looking ahead, if I maintain my schedule as it currently is, I am looking to finish the challenge on or around the 2nd February.
For those of you reading about this challenge and thinking, 'I'll never be able to do 50 runs till May anymore', well if you're a regular runner like me, it's still possible, so join the challenge. This will keep you going during the cold winter months and it will keep you fit:
You can still finish by then end of March, if you start now. So plenty of time.
To finish this post, 2 more pictures of today's run
The fog was still around, just not on our path. This still caused for high humidity in the air ... and helped create this stunning picture!
Another stunning picture of todays foggy run.
Thanks for all your support and let's keep going!
