After a year weight training in the gym and doing virtually no cardio, I've finally started to run. This is in preparation for True Grit, a military inspired 13km (8 Mile) obstacle course race with 30 different obstacles.
I was honestly surprised at how good it felt to run and how well my body handled it. Having a clear goal in mind while running really helped push me and keep me focused. I know I have a long way to go before I'm ready to complete a 13km obstacle race in a decent time but I know if I keep training like this I can do it.
I've also started live streaming my strength workouts! My first stream was last week and it went great. I plan to train and stream 2-3 times per week so feel free to follow if you want to catch me live!
