I managed four runs in the last week, sticking to my hard-easy pattern, this time choosing to define my long run as easy as it was only 7K, but that felt like enough!
I am pretty happy with this:
Last Friday - Hereford Mixed Intervals
I just ran the intervals that felt natural with the terrain and they were these:
- 1K
- 800M
- 500M
- 300M
- 400M
Or something like that!
I didn't go too hard, just stuck at a reasonable pace for all of them, just over 4.00 for the 400s and slightly slower for the longer intervals.
Last Sunday - 'Long' Run
I headed out around Crystal Palace, nice and slow and easy, called it a day at around 7K, I just could feel this was enough for today, enjoyable!
This Tuesday - London 400 intervals
I felt OK for these - not super super up for it, but I got some good times in stats here:

This Thursday - London easy 6K
This was MOST enjoyable, just a slow pootle around the local park and a coffee after...
Final thoughts...
You know this is what running is about... next it's the Park Run, that'll be my 'hard tempo' run - then easy 6K after that, then repeat the above, this is a nice pattern!
This feels like it's the right balance!
