I had always seen them in brown color and much smaller, so this was the first time I saw it so beautiful and although I feel bad I could not stop photographing so much beauty and perfection.
This Mantis, also called Tara in my country and known by many as the Praying Mantis, because of the way it positions its front legs when it is waiting for some prey, is at least about 8 centimeters long, the largest I have ever seen in my life, I was lucky to see it because it was on a branch with few leaves, because it is quite difficult to see it when the branches have a lot of foliage because of its great similarity to a thin branch.
Although they are carnivorous, they are really calm and not at all aggressive with people, on the contrary, when they see someone's proximity they run away, and the truth is that they are quite fast. The female mantises have the reputation of devouring the male during or after the sexual act, and this is completely true, in fact when they eat them during the sexual act they try to do it for the parts of the body that don't compromise the act, so they finish eating it when the act is over, this could give way to say that the female mantises only see their males as sexual objects hahaha.
They can eat anything from a fly to a mouse, which is quite amazing for the size and fragility of these little animals. Mantises can live up to a year, which is really a long period of life for an insect. In some countries it is considered a good omen to see a mantis, and the truth is that I feel that this is so, let's say that this has filled me with hope and faith, faith that soon I will be 100% to share with you and my family and friends.

Aunque continuo enferma, ayer y he sentido una leve mejoría, aunque la tos no me deja vivir en paz del todo, así que he tomado unos baños de sol para recargar un poco la energía de mi cuerpo. Ayer en la tarde pude ver esta hermosa Mantis en mi limonero, la verdad es que son unos animales majestuosos y hermosos. Siempre las había visto de color pardo y mucho más pequeñas, así que esta ha sido la primera vez que la veo tan hermosa y aunque me siento mal no podía dejar de fotografiar tanta belleza y perfección.
Esta Mantis, también llamada en mi país Tara y conocida por muchos como Mantis Religiosa, por la manera en la que posiciona sus patas delanteras cuando está en espera de alguna presa, tiene un tamaño de al menos unos 8 centímetros de largo, la más grande que he visto en mi vida, tuve suerte de verla pues se encontraba en una rama con pocas hojas, pues es bastante difícil verla cuando las ramas tienen gran cantidad de follaje por su gran similitud con una delgada rama.
Aunque son carnívoras son realmente tranquilas y nada agresivas con las personas, por el contrario, al ver la cercanía de alguien salen en huida, y la verdad es que son bastante veloces. Las mantis hembras poseen la fama de devorar al macho durante o después del acto sexual, y esto es completamente cierto, de hecho cuando se los comen durante el acto sexual procuran hacerlo por las partes del cuerpo que no comprometan el acto, de manera que terminan de comerlo cuando haya finalizado el mismo, esto podría dar paso a decir que las mantis hembras solo ven a sus machos como objetos sexuales jajaja.
Pueden comer desde una mosca hasta un ratón, lo cual es algo bastante asombroso por el tamaño y lo frágil que pueden verse estos animalitos. Las mantis pueden vivir hasta un año, lo que es realmente un periodo largo de vida para un insecto. En algunos países se considera el hecho de ver una mantis como un buen augurio, y la verdad es que yo siento que es así, digamos que esto me ha llenado de esperanza y fe, fe de que pronto estaré al 100% para compartir con ustedes y con mi familia y amigos.
