Pain is one of the greatest teachers of life...
You only get to understand what health actually is when you are sick.
Or you can fully get the value of rewards after a very painful and difficult journey.
The second day of our trip to the south, was definitely a teacher to me. It had things I'd remember for years to come. 💚
Here's what happened:
The first night of our journey, which was all about us finding a way to find a sandy shore as there were many rocks around the island, ended with us sleeping on sands of some unknown shore. 🌊 🌊 🌊
We were just happy to be on the ground and being able to have a night sleep.
The next morning, we all got up and turned into maps to find our way to the beach we were looking for.
We were pretty lucky to be in a area where we could use our phones' data.
So, we somehow had a direction to follow.
Surprisingly, the beach we were after, was only a few hundred meters away form where we had spent the night before at.
We were in the right area, but the absence of light and the rough condition the sea were the reasons for us just to get ourselves to the first safe shore we found.
Though this distance difference, gave us an opportunity to see the inner side of the island as we were walking to wards the beach. 🌵 🌴
Hengam island, Truly one of the most beautiful places you can find in Iran.
I've been very lucky to be able to visit this island for 2 times now.
When we reached the shore, the beach greeted us with the gorgeous landscape of its'!
It sure, was a good morning! ☀️
One thing you should know about this island, is that not everyone can get to this place as it has a pretty rough structures around the beaches.
For you to be able to get to the virgin beaches, you have to be able and willing to walk of spiky and sharp rocks.
So we climbed and walked through those sharp structures to get to the other side.
The other side, I'd never forget about! ❤️
The first thing we did right after we arrived, was to take off the clothes and jump in the water!
So happy about arriving to our destination, I had forgotten about a very important fact about that shore.
You see, with the rocky structures under the water, comes another sharp and spiky one. And that's Sea urchins!
I was happily walking in the water. Suddenly, I felt a great pain! I knew right there that I had been F#cked right in the foot! And I had got 10 spikes in! 😫
I dragged myself back to the shore to get the spikes out. I got 3 of them out, but 7 of them were pretty deep, and it wasn't wise to try to get them out as they could just go further in.
So, I let them be.
Thankfully they were not very deep and the pain was manageable.
The group went on to have a yoga session and I tried to follow a bit. But my mind wasn't ok just yet, So I stayed out of the morning session.
While I was recovering, the boys were doing their thing and trying to bury each other in the sand, and doing some yoga poses. 😕
My painful day was not over.
At noon time, we had to take our stuff back to the side we were at in the morning as the sun was starting to hit us hard.
With naked feet I tried to get to the other side, and that was when my second f#ck up occurred!
The sand was so hot on some parts. And that was enough to burn and open up on other foot as well! 🤕
I just threw my self down in the water to cool off my foot. The skin had come off and I'm just gonna say that it wasn't pretty at all. lol!
Anyways, I had to take some time to get myself together again. So I just found a shade and laid under it.
In the afternoon I felt better, but the pain was still there and I couldn't let that pain stop me from enjoying the time I was having on that island.
Our master, called us all to have a photo by the sunset while doing a yoga pose.
I had the chance to just not do it. But I couldn't! So I went ahead and got my self in the position. The pain on my feet was a lot, but it couldn't stop me.
Thank you for reading my story. 🙂
Peace! 💚
