There are two things mainly that keeps soldiers safer on a helicopter while they are hanging out the door or sitting on the landing rails. These are:
1.Fear
Everyone entertains fear 😂!
The major thing keeping a soldier in is fear. This is certain and truthful. All soldiers are afraid of falling to a painful and messy death. If they have fear they decide to use the second method.
- Harnessing and straps
Once you sit on that rail, clip in,that guarantees you safety when the enemy engages you, because the helicopter is bound to rock. You can be sure of that.
