This happens to me all the time. And now that I have kids I'll be even further removed. 😒
I'm not sure why society assumes our roles once we've reached certain milestones. On the flip side there is nothing wrong with being a wife or a stay at home mom. But there are many women who want to do and desire to do other things. Have other talents, ambitions, and skills.
Even wives and SAHM's have hobbies, goals, and interests, outside of their relations.
