Able Seaman Calatorulmiop shouted down from the crow’s nest in a panic…”Indians! Two canoes, coming fast from upstream!”
“How many?!” Commander Kerrislravenhill shouted up from the main deck.
”Eight warriors!”
“Take up the sails. Time tae slow doon!” She ordered quickly, “Keptin...”
“Ahh heards heem! Givs me fower musket-men oan th' forecastle noo!” The Captain called back as he extended his scope and eyed the incoming canoes.
“Trouble?” Commander Galligan asked as he stood gazing south along the river.
“Mebbe. Let’s see whit their intensions ur…”
On the main deck, Kerrisl called out the orders for four musket men…
“Standing Officer Trayan, get four muskets and three other men up on the forecastle now!”
“Aye Sairrr! Fat-elvis, Cve3 and Kamilla19, grab your muskets and take up positions on the forecastle! Good job guys!”
As the crew took their positions, the two incoming canoes suddenly began to slow down in heavy back paddling. What looked like their leader held his hand high in the air and called out…..

“What’s he sayin'?!” Galligan asked half out loud and half to himself.
“Bludy heel if Ahh knows!!” The Captain replied as he slapped his scope shut and headed for the stairs!
