Today we passed the island Hui, owned by Oslo municipality and (mostly) used as "feriekoloni" - a place working parents in Oslo can send their children for vacation during the school holidays. We've sent our eldest son there a couple of times, but he didn't enjoy (no water closets - although the toilets have been improved a lot some few years ago, no computer games, no internet ...) Our school also have one week every second year where the children, some of the teachers and volunteer parents (I've volunteered twice, my wife participated for half a week) go there. For my middle son it will be the first time next summer, I hope I have the possibility to join in as a volunteer.
On the outside there is a ship wreck "parked" on very shallow water, I never had the time to study it closely, but today we tried going slowly as near as possible without grounding our own boat (almost managed to do the latter ... oups).
Apparently the boat was constructed from ferrosement.
Of course, the children are told stories that it's a haunted pirate ship.
Here is the harbour on the island
This is not from the island, but there are quite much of such kind of rocks around here
