When the first monkey-like creature deserted his kingdom
of tree branches and advanced towards the light of the plain,
the darkness of night gave way to the dawn of evolution. This
creature was guided by something he could not
understand, something that was beyond his comprehension and
that of his congeners. There had been somewhere in his
brain and in his body a mutation, an upheaval. In him
rested the seed of humanity, in his eyes strangely
brilliant, the dark shadow of a hidden dream.
Over time, wonderful changes occurred
in their body and mind. Their brains, nervous systems and
glandular cells grew in complexity and specialized. Of
new patterns of behavior appeared and emotions and
feelings unknown and denied to all other forms of life
found their expression.
The man was born at this auspicious time. The thought waves
generated by this first human expression still vibrate
today in the unconscious of every human being. Each of
we carry in him the hidden memory of this first awakening. We
are, through this primordial memory which is actually
part of our heritage, intimately linked to all
other forms of life.
