The Samsung Galaxy S10 has been getting a lot of attention in the news recently and also there are rumours that the S10 will have crypto friendly features built-in such as the Enjin wallet, but this is just speculation as far as I know.
Either way Samsung continues to innovate and create new and interesting tech products with some of main products being high-end phones, curved and 4K smart TVs, and they have a lot more products that they have made over the last few years including smart refrigerators, washing machines, robot vaccum cleaners and more.
The Samsung Galaxy fold isn't the only foldable smart phone out there Huawei also has the Mate X smartphone to compete and probably a few more I don't know about. The truth is phones have been getting so big recently that they have become difficult to fit in our pockets and it's normal to see people holding onto their phones these days at clubs, bars, and restaurants because sometimes they are too big to fit in their pockets.
Foldable phones were the next logical conclusion to this problem as carrying around a tablet looks ridiculous, but occasionally it's convenient to have a phone that unfolds into a tablet size so that visiting a computer to get a better look at something will no longer be as necessary. Tablets can be useful sometimes but they are awkward to carry around especially if you are walking around outside on a hike.
I've been watching some of the presentations about these phones on YouTube, and I'm positive that this would have been a great April fool's joke about 5 years ago or less. I don't think I'll be buying one especially at the starting price of $1980, but I can see how this is a really innovative product and I expect that we'll see thousands of people lining up or signing up for either this Samsung Galaxy Fold or the more reasonable Samsung Galaxy S10 priced at $900 and it's going to have a targeted release date of March 15th, so around Spring time of this year.
Of course, now that we have nearly $2,000 phones I hope that there is some sort of limit in terms of pricing over the next few years because I wouldn't want to be paying $5,000 for a new phone right now unless it is worth it's price in gold for example. However, as technology continues to develop it's clear that more and more people are starting to use their mobile phones as their primary way to access the internet.
There are plenty of other YouTube videos about the Samsung foldable phone, but this more of a hands-on video. When I watch this video I get the impression that the foldable phone has strong magnets built in which would make the likelihood of someone's phone unfolding by mistake not very likely.
