We are making progress. Last week was another exciting one for the Sankofa Creative Competition that is committed to explore native African wisdom and promote it on the steemit community.
Last week we tasked you on digging into African proverbs. Here are the entries from many corners of our beautiful continent.
shared a Yoruba proverb that advices you to avoid the trap of a parent's invitation to beat their child. Find it here.
dropped a bomb proverb on why you should not "give away your vagina." Yeah. We all have one. Find that here.
Then there was another Yoruba proverb by
with a lot of lessons on truth always catching up with lies. Great stuff. Here.
from distant Ghana sent in a Twi proverb esteeming PROVERBS as a language of the wise. I remember personally as a kid being told you know a wise man from the quality of his proverbs. Read it up here.
dropped some master level wisdom on why you should not be hasty to envy or judge others, because, like our elders say, the "chickens sweat [but] it's because [of] their feathers [that] we don't notice." Get it in full here.
And finally

It was really a tough call to make as the entries were mind blowing. But we had to come down to a final 1.
