I guess the King of Saudi Arabia decided to have his own son succeed him instead of his brother and that is what has happened in this major shakeup within the Saudi royal family that upends the kingdom's line of succession, Saudi Arabia's King Salman removed Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef from his position Wednesday and replaced him with Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the king's son.
Bin Salman, 31, is the country's defense minister and has led an effort to expand and diversify the kingdom's economy from one reliant on oil. He is also outspoken and was in the White House with President Trump earlier this year.
It is not yet known what will happen if there will be some kind of revolt, but the King has spoken and the people of the oil rich kingdom seem to be in support of this decision that sees the new Crown Prince waiting to succeed his father the King thereby forming a new line of succession.
