The Lord did not say "Christians should be poor". My post today will be digging deep into the Bible verses that talks clearly about God's promise to bless and uplift us financially.
Philippians 4:19,
"And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
You are not allowed to be poor because Philippians 4:19 has said it all. The Lord has good plans for us and so we must change our mindset and remind God about his promise financially in our life as quoted in this bible scripture. All we need do is ask and leave the rest for God to do.Malachi 3:10
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”
You cannot rob God and expect to get from him. For all your earnings, remove one tenth of it and bring to the house of the Lord as tithes. If you are faithful with your tithes, the lord has made it clear that he will open the floodgates of heaven and shower his blessings on us.1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
This line "Money is the root of all evil" is often misquoted by so many people in our society today. The Bible did not say Christians shouldn't have money, it is only making us to understand that the excessive love for money instead is evil. Some people place so much importance of having money that it leads/lands them in the wrong part.Acts 20:35
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
How many of us are loyal and faithful to giving the needy and the weak. Using your money only for yourself won't increase your rewards hence the bible made it so clear to us that it is more blessed to give than to receive. When you give more, the lord gives you more too so please do not dispute this fact at all, it is very important.Proverbs 22:7
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
We all need to learn how to be debt free. "The borrower is servant to the lender." When you're free from debts, you will understand the values
of money. A word is enough for the wise and even the Bible has told us to quit being in debts always.
