Today I woke up with this beautiful landscape, thanks to the friend and photographer Jorge T,University partner, I can share an image of this beautiful city: Dairy, when I observe everything that God has given us, natural resources, intelligence, wisdom, I can not stop thinking about the circumstances that we are going through in our country, those who have left, thought it was the best, but those of us who are still here, I want to dedicate this message: we are not victims, we are victors.
The word victim does not give us the dimension of the emotional, social, family and economic situation of those who, wrapped up in it, today look for a way to reconstruct their daily life and then be able to trace their life project without thinking about how to do it. , in my way of seeing life, we are being survivors of an adverse situation, but those who are firm believing God until the final consequences will not defeat us.
We can not continue in a condition of victims before the world when we have the power within us to be survivors, it is not the same to be victims as to be a survivor, it is time to stop throwing us salt in the wounds, and rise in the name of Jesus and own the land.
APPLYING TO THE WORD OF GOD
How to overcome the victim mentality.
People who remain enslaved by the victim mentality can not be free. They continue to think that they are unable to change the abuse situation and it continues to control it.
It is said that in the circus world newborn elephants are subjected to a training called "chain of control". As soon as it is born, the leg is tied to a stake. No matter how much you try to let go, you can not achieve it. Soon, the young elephant gives up and stops pulling the chain. Accept the fact that he does not have the strength to get rid. Over time, the elephant grows, reaches adulthood and reaches a huge size. However, his mind is in the infant stage. Although he has enough physical strength to get rid of easily, he lacks the mental and emotional capacity to achieve it ... and he does not even try.
"Therefore, Christ has indeed set us free. Now make sure you remain free and do not get enslaved back to the law. " Galatians 5: 1
In the heart of a victim, emotions are hurt, feels helpless and weak. The person believes that they can not make correct decisions regarding their circumstances and their interpersonal relationships. The victim's self-esteem is seriously damaged and consequently they develop destructive behavior patterns. They are often afraid to be controlled again, because they could not control what they suffered in the past. That is why many become controllers. Even those unresolved emotional difficulties can have physical consequences.
False belief:
"My past is extremely painful. I do not have the strength to change. Also, I do not have what it takes to get out of this. Others can, I can not. The fear of being discovered as a failure paralyzes me. "
Right belief:
"I am a child of God, Christ lives in me and gives me the power I need to change. He delivered my fear of failure in his hands and I accept the responsibility to work to overcome the past because I know that God is faithful. He will do it!"
We as Christians can not be victims, but victors in any situation, whatever, I do not consider myself a victim but a survivor of everything that has happened to me, because I know that what I have lived and could not kill myself is to help others to get up and walk until you fulfill your purpose.
The difference between a victim and a winner is that the victims die in the process, and I am still alive because I have a mission to fulfill, it is not worth saying where the Lord took you, because although many people will use the things that have happened to you to attack you, we will be alive testimony of the glory of God, and through our experience we will be able to transform the life of others.
People who have scars are respected, the enemy knows that he hurt you in a while, but now you come with more strength than before in the name of Jesus. The decision is ours if we believe God or we believe the circumstance.
When I go out to the street, I hear news, the outlook is discouraging, but I have decided to go back to that circumstance, and say as Habacuc said:
Even if the fig tree does not flower,
There is no fruit in the vines,
Even if the product of the olive tree is missing,
And the carvings do not maintain,
And the sheep are removed from the fold,
And there are no cows in the corrals;
Nevertheless, I will rejoice in Jehovah,
And I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
I do not know how God will do it, I just know he will, my task is to remain faithful to his word, with a willing heart to help my neighbor, to love my fellow human beings, to forgive those who have hurt me, to leave the past, and to look at the winning the target who is Jesus!
There is no light in Venezuela, but he said "darkness will cover the earth and darkness the nations, but over you, Jehovah will dawn, the light of Christ always shines on me, and if he does it over me he will also do it with you, only create .
