ATOMIC NUMBER: (Z)
Atomic number is defined as the number of proton present in nucleus or number of electron present in neutral atom is called atomic number.It is represented by Z
E.G atomic number of oxygen is 8
Atomic number nitrogen is 7
Atomic number of sulpher is 16
Atomic numberof hydrogen is 1
MASS NUMBER:(A)
It is defined as the sum of proton and neutron in the nucleus of an atom is called mass number.It is represented by A
E.g
Mass number of hydrogen is 1
Mass number of carbon is 12
Mass number of oxygen is 16
Mathmatically
A=Z+n
