I am going to describe the basic introduction of biology and its major divisions.
BIOLOGY:
The word biology has been derived from two Greek words 'bios' and 'logos' bios meaning life and logos meaning study/thought/reasoning.So biology is defined as :
The branch of science which deals with the scientific study of life or living things is called biology.
The has been divided in to the following major branches:
1).Zoology
2)Botony
3)Microbiology
1).Zoology:
The branch of biology which deals the scientific study of animals.
2)Botony
The branch of biology which deals with the scientific study of plants are called botony
3)Microbiology
The branch of biology that deals with the scientific study of microorganism such as virus,bacteria etc
