Our daily consumption of energy is increasing day by day as the population is increasing. Increase in resources is not enough to fulfill our energy requirements in the future. There is however a smarter way to absorb sunlight to charge our electronics using smart windows.
A smart panel has the ability to save energy by absorbing light when you want it to do so. It has the ability to switch between transparent panel and dark-tinted solar cell. The absorbing of light is possible because of the property of atoms to arrange themselves into the light absorbing crystal structure at high temperatures.
There is a slight difficulty in implementation as sunlight alone cannot trigger the switching. Switching require the temperature of 105 degree Celsius which is not possible alone by sunlight so scientist are trying to lower the threshold.
