The world needs more ways to identify useful research and especially to apply it in all our lives.
Research translation is the act of changing the world for the better, or perhaps something much smaller in it, as a result of successfully designed and executed research projects.
Countless ideas began as academic work. Nearly every scientific and engineering and medical breakthrough was made possible because of research.
But turning research ideas and outcomes into reality - that's the biggie. It's one of the reasons I love the technological revolution that we are all a part of.
We are blockchain early adopters.
We are playing with ideas made real. Ideas that didn't even exist a few years ago. Think about it. This is BIG.
Exactly the same methodology that is used to repeatedly demonstrate human induced climate change is used to treat bowel cancer, invent jet engines and build impossibly tall buildings. And to discover exoplanets around distant stars.
Although it may not be their objective, one impact of the success of climate change conspiracy arguments is that by keeping us addicted to soot-spewing coal-based energy they are stopping real investment into amazing new technologies and thereby actively stifling further scientific, technological and theoretical advances that can improve our planet, our lives and our future.
We need more research and researchers.
We need more questions asked and answered.
And we need to find solutions to problems that until now we thought were only possible in the pages of science fiction.
