My website VoluntaryScience.com -- just went live this week!
I've started blogging there on topics surrounding scientific research, and the state's involvement in it. Let's just say I am highly sceptical that state funding is having a net positive on research! Incentives matter, and right now there are a lot of problems in academic research that are due to the involuntary way much of it is funded. That includes the uselessness of many projects, the really warped metrics of success, and the precarious situation many young scientists find themselves in.
