The reason why one has to be labelled an "Activist" when stopping poisons is their advocacy is because Science is being monopolized and controlled by a cult of scientism that has ties with mainstream media and government and is allowed to poison water and food while attacking independent science and scientist who are truly concerned with the state of the world. They have made a religion of scientism that equally to any religion seeks to destroy those who are opposed or questioning the narrative, their belief. Likened to a catholic labeling non-believers as satanist or one who has been fooled by satan and needs to be saved. Scientism is the extreme form of the scientific religion/belief and can be compared to any religious extremist group.
