Your not allowed to visit and explore the worlds Polar Caps without military clearance. Your not allowed to fly over the Poles in commercial or private planes. NASA or any other World Space Organization will not provide you with an unaltered image from space of the areas...so how would you know if a big opening exist at either pole? Take their word for it?
