A mass extinction is defined as the natural phenomenon that causes the disappearance of a significant number of species, to have the title of mass extinction has to kill at least 10% of the species in a year or 50% of the species in a period of time between 1 year and 3.5 million years.

Pues la noticia es que los expertos parece que han dado con la posible causa de esta devastadora extinción, se trataría de la explosión de varios volcanes enormes que lanzaron al aire grandes concentraciones de niquel que terminó con la vida de las especies por envenenamiento, ahora hay algunos que dicen que el ser humano está provocando la 6ª extinción masiva pero, me parece un poco pretencioso viendo las cifras anteriores.
