In reality, Jupiter's temperature, which was supposed to be a distance away from the sun, was actually more than hundred degrees higher than it was supposed to be. For a long time, its cause was uncertain. But astronomers now know why Jupiter's temperature is more than expected.
The data collected by NASA Infrared Telescope in Hawaii, analyzed data shows that the famous red spots responsible for the planet's high temperatures. These spots are called Great Red Spot or briefly GRS. A joint British-American team has researched that the level of temperature in GRS and the way it behaves, can explain the planet's high temperature. Note that Jupiter temperature is 600 degrees Celsius.
The surface and atmosphere of the small planets located near the Earth or the Sun depends on the sun's radiation. The planet that is closer to the Sun and the Sun's radiation level over the surface is more than the planet's temperature. If the radiation level is low then the planetary temperature will be less. The planet's own or internal processes can not influence the sun. But the solar system's outer planets depend on the internal processes of those planets. Its own process can easily be effective on owning the influence of the sun.
The researchers showed through a simulation that if only the sun's heat was dominant here, then Jupiter's temperature would have been below the freezing point of ice. But Jupiter's temperature is much higher than that. Researchers have worked on these unresolved issues and examined the source of such temperature. Finally, they concluded that the red spots on account of it are responsible for it. The decision was reached by observing and analyzing the distribution of heat on the planet and the circulation of heat. This is what they said in a paper published in Nature magazine.
By observing infrared radiation emitted from the planet using NASA equipment, they found that the temperature in the southern region of the planet is excessive. Temperatures from that region are circulated in other regions. And there are famous red spots or GRSs in the region.
GRS is an exceptional and powerful one-type component for Jupiter. They gave unity to Jupiter. The stains are so big that they can take space between two planets in the world in an effortless way. These are mainly the Jupiter cyclones or hurricanes. The biggest hurricane in the solar system was in Jupiter. Because of the rotation of the hurricane, they are very round.
Jupiter spots are basically a very large cyclone.
Large areas are also huge as sources of energy. These GRs spread directly to the surface of the planet, within the power of Jupiter. Note that energy is generated within each active planet. This kind of energy is produced inside the Earth. The internal forces of the Earth are in the interior. Few of the energy comes out through volcanic eruptions or lava emissions.
This invention of scientists will also help in understanding the behavior of other gases.
