to detect ancient ports and settlements on the western and southern coast of Aceh are on the shores of the Indian ocean. The west and south coastal areas of Aceh is an area preoccupied with the spice trade of plantation products in the era of the kingdom of Aceh Darussalam in the middle ages.
We have entered Trumon territory or ancient name known as Bandar Trumon (Trumon seaport). There is a restored fortress, located at the mouth of the Trumon river. A fortress facing the beach, but the main door facing to the beach, it's indicated that the construction of the fort was not to dispel the enemy. Uncertain ownership of the fort, whether it belongs to the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam, Dutch East Indies, or Portuguese.
Trumon is an area within the district of South Aceh Regency, located 520 km from Banda Aceh with a 10-hour road journey across several Bukit Barisan of Sumatra island.
The ancient fortress of Trumon, located at the Keude Trumon, Trumon, South Aceh Regency, Aceh. Coordinates: 2.824796, 97.618458. Image in capture from google map
