I've spent so many years looking out this window. I love it. I've watched seasons pass. I've watched squirrels, chipmunks, cats, raccoons, myriad insect forms and the occasional bright red cardinal.
I've seen it through all four seasons of the year, and it offers me a great place to reflect upon life in the moments at work where I have nothing immediate to do. I really love looking at this window. :-)
Some places where I have worked, all I could see was four walls and artificial lighting. Everything is straight lines and clean edges. I like the randomness of the foliage in my coniferous neighbor. I've watched squirrels leaping from tree, to fence, and then climbing the tall tree on the right to their nests. I've watched cats stalking those same squirrels and chipmunks.
When the winter comes and the snow begins to fall, I can gaze upon the fat, wet chunks of snow drifting slowly down and covering the ground. When spring comes around I can see the trees budding and coming back to life.
It is the best window. I love my work window.
