Once we reach the Altar, we found the Emperor's dead and there is a passage way behind the altar.
And of course Thanatos is behind it all and intents to have the Mana Fortress all to himself.
We have to beat Hexas tho to reach Thanatos, but he reanimate Geshtar to stop us. How fitting considering his previous voice acting role as Alucard from Hellsing anime. LOL
I was a little bit confused at this point as to why in this new version of the game, they didn't make it more fancy and show the Fortress actually coming out of the sea or something. What wasted opportunity.
