A biennial election held in Keshabpur Press Club on Saturday was held in the atmosphere of huge enthusiasm and festivities. Ashraf-uz-Zaman Khan won 20 votes in the election, Motahar Hossain got 21 votes and was elected unopposed as general secretary.
Joydeb Chakraborty won 13 votes, Abdul Hai Siddiqi 10 votes and Mashiur Rahman got 4 votes in the presidential election held at Press Club. In the election office of secretary of the election, 21 votes, sports and cultural secretary Sheikh Shahinur Islam was elected 18 votes.
KM Kabir Hossain 25 votes, 5 votes for the executive committee, Abdur Rahman 23 votes, Nurul Islam Khan 22 votes, Ruhul Amin Khan 21 votes and Abdur Razzak got 20 votes. Earlier, in the two presidential posts, Alhaj Abdus Sattar Mollah and Haji Ruhul Quddus, Mahbur Rahman Tulu and Principal M.R. Moin, Shamsur Rahman, Treasurer and Shahinur Rahman were elected as secretary of the post.
Chairman of Election Commission Master Abdus Salam, Member Siddiqur Rahman and Abdul Momin received no breaks from 9am to 1pm on Saturday. 35 voters out of 36 polling stations in the press club.
