In this post I give my favorite entries of this week's contest. I hope I don't miss any late entries by writing up my preferences a bit early, but I have to do it now, or else after work, when the winner has already been announced.
Other than my own performance there were no less then five entries. Since everyone can give three votes that means I have to choose when there are more then 3 contestants besides myself.
And the choosing was not easy this week. Of course I had to include . I cannot but favorably look upon and entry that uses one of my scores... :-)
Listening through the entries I was most impressed with performance. A solid piece and a ditto performance. It is not easy to play for 4 minutes, maintain concentration and create one flowing arc of tension in the music.
Of course, 's performance of BuxWV137 was impressive as well. Yet, he is a professional organist, and you might expect a performance of this level from him, so today I rule in favor of
