Hello all! On Monday, I attended an event hosted by the WordPress Singapore interest group. Besides getting to have some free drinks and pizzas, I get to learn a few new things. The first being the use of a Facebook Messenger chatbot to convert your site visitor into a customer. Last year, I started the ZippyBot website to help people get interested in chatbot creations. As I believe users are shifting towards text-based communications method from voice-based. If you are keen, you can visit this page to take a look at a couple of chatbots that I have developed.
In addition, CloudFlare was also there to demonstrate how easy it is to setup a free account with them to start providing your site with basic DDoS protection. What most people do not know is that their services also speed up your site loading speed. The performance boost comes from the their "Content Delivery Network" (CDN). CloudFlare has data centers all over the world which can help you cache your site content. With the caches set up, your site visitors will get heavy content (e.g. files and images) from a nearby data center. This will reduce the loading time and also reduce the load on your server.

In fact, I should really use SteemPress because I have my own site and it is hosting a WordPress blog as well. Therefore, I took some time on Hari Raya Haji to setup Culgin's Tech. This blog will be focused on technology, cybersecurity and cryptocurrencies/blockchain related topics. For other topics, I will still be mainly writing on Steemit directly.
