I think many are very dissapointed about Tor being so deceptive and malicious.
I use to use it a little bit; but found it to be so slow that I really just couldn't be bothered so much.
The point, I think, here is to always question if you can really trust anyone - including Steemit.

As we basically know by now that Amazon is one huge evil corporation (Mike Adams from the Health Ranger had an amazing video about this on YouTube but just got shut down; update I found an extra copy of the video here) that is in bed with the intelligence agencies, can we really trust Steemit if they deal with them?
I know we don't have much of an expectation of privacy on the web or this blockchain, but still - how can we be sure that our info is not being shared by Steemit with them?
Think about all the anti-establishment types that are present on this platform; that would represent a gold mine for the intelligence agencies to tally and inventorize all the dissenters.
