I, Temi and Tosin were in the room when Feyi came in. I think I was on my bed reading a book, while Temi and tosin were watching a movie. Temi invited Feyi to join them, feyi asked if it was a Nollywood movie, Tosin nodded and Feyi said she wasn't interested.
Temi literally jumped up. "Holy Holy Sister" she shouted. "So now you don't watch nollywood movies, you better don't become a fanatic"
"Are you serious? Like you don't watch Nollywood" Tosin asked.
"Its not like that" Feyi shuttered. "I just want to discipline myself and am being careful"
"Holy sister" Temi called out in between laughter. " Its not that bad, it is just a movie. Come and Join us. It is only God that can help us get to heaven, its not about our own righteousness"
Feyi joined them, Temi explained the movie to her and they resumed watching. As my usual self, I just stared at them mute.
I noticed how feyi would close her eyes whenever they were making out in the movie and at one point she just continued to watch every scene. Initially she seemed uncomfortable and later she was relaxed.
Before the movie ended, she stood and was about to leave when I abruptly jumped off my bed and pulled her back in. She was shocked but I was "more shocked". Like till tomorrow I do not know why I jumped like that. The others were so focused on the laptop screen.
I pulled feyi to my bed, told her to lie down and I lay next to her. I turned my face to her and I just stared at her. Tears began to drop her eyes as she murmured inaudible words, her hands was shaking and her breath heavy. I just smiled and told her to talk to Jesus.
When it come to living Holy, please cooperate with the Holy spirit. Whatever way He is leading you, please follow Him and don't compare with others.
Whatever way God is pruning you please let Him, whatever way He is moulding you let Him. The fact that others do it doesn't make it right and the fact that you are not doing it doesn't make it a sin.
It is a personal race, God deals with us differently. Whatever God is asking you to drop, don't pick it up because someone in the Faith is doing it also. God would hold you accountable for the instruction He gave to YOU!!
When God calls you to abstain, please do, Guard your heart. Keep your mind pure.
