Social media had given us access to other people's live easier compare few years back. Everytime you open facebook, twitter or other social media flatform you'll see people posting about their latest adventure, latest gadget etc. And for some who can't or find it so hard to aim things like this resort to self-pity.
Self-pity (according to Merriam-Webster) pity for oneself; especially : a self-indulgent dwelling on one's own sorrows or misfortunes
Upon seeing others' update we tend to look or evaluate our life. We tend to lists all the things we don't have. Without realising that everyone has different life to live. Different challenges to face. This makes us blind. And sometimes we have more than enough that we don't see.
Instead of counting what's lacking how about look on the positive side. Look around you and be thankful for what you have. Your life may not be that grand compared to others what's important is the happiness you feel with what you have.
Be grateful for the gift of life, gift of friends, gift of family and the gift to see Mother Earth's beauty everytime you wake up.
Next time you see your friend post about his newest travel close your eyes and say "Thank you Lord for making my friend happy. I'll wait for mine and smile. 😉Then positivity will come
It's hard at first but hey its old cliche but still true Practice Makes Perfect though nobody is perfect😊
