It all started yesterday night. Before going to bed. I thought, "This time I'm definitely getting out of the bed right after I realize that I'm awake."
You seein' these thumbnail skills?
Since the past 3 days I've woken up at 6 AM, but haven't been able to open my eyes and get out of bed.
Enter, morning.
6 AM.
I awake.
I sleep.
Regretfully and shamelessly.

If I were another person, I'd kick the crap out of me.
But since I'm me, non-violence all the way. MK Gandhi da OG. When has violence ever solved anything?
It probably might if I try though...
Then I'd just use the bruises and pain as an excuse to sleep more.
So, right after I woke up eventu9AMally, I pondered about:
Self Discipline
I never looked up the actual definition of those words. So, I did.
And the meaning shown were the exact words I needed to hear. Google is a secret motivational speaker.
And data thief borrower.
The meaning was:
Doing something which you know is good for you, even though your emotions and current mood (by now you've realized these probably aren't the exact words given by Google because of how unprofessionally I've written them, but I digress.) are against it. That bracket took a lot of space. But what also took a lot of space, in my mind, was determination. And confidence. And other such abstract words that occupy your head-space for only a short amount of time before you're back to being the TOTAL LOSER THAT YOU ARE THAT PROCRASTINATES AND but I digress like an 18th century philosopher.
So, what did I learn?
Self Discipline Can Be Learned As A Skill
That's what I learned.
This fact also invokes determination. The fact that you're not a hopeless case forever is reassuring.
So here's...
How to develop Self Discipline
Step 1: Choose a goal you wanna conquer. (something like waking up at 6 AM)
Step 2: When the time comes to do it, you're gonna feel like NOT doing it. That's good. That means this How-To is gonna prove useful and all my time typing this wouldn't go to waste. Pat yourself on the back when you don't feel like accomplishing your goal because you didn't waste my time.
Step 3: Remind yourself about the meaning of "self discipline".
Boom, Step 4 = profit. Just do it, as Adidas says.
