This is a short post but I hope it can help you. I am still getting used to posting here again.
This post is about a self-help technique called the Sedona Method and it has been a critical tool in my mental health recovery lately.
The Sedona Method is a technique for releasing negative emotions by asking yourself a series of questions designed to help you let go of them. It involves becoming aware of your emotions, allowing them to be there fully, and then releasing them.
A different way of using The Sedona Method is Holistic Releasing. Life is made of opposites. There is good and bad, here and there, in and out.
When you welcome both sides of an emotional state they eventually cancel themselves out.
For example, if you have low self-esteem welcome how much you hate yourself and then welcome how much you love yourself. Go back and forth until you feel love for yourself. Give yourself time to feel each side.
I have a nagging fear and am expecting the worst to happen. I welcome expecting the worst to happen and then welcome expecting the best to happen.
I urge you to use this technique when your emotions become overwhelming. Let me know if it helped you.
