Plot
The characters of Winden begin to discover the nature of the temporal phenomenon that has caused all the evil in their lives, while Jonas runs uselessly behind himself trying to change the things.
Opinion
Finally the new Dark season arrived, the long wait finally ended, so I saw the new episodes, and although first I was disappointed because there are only 8 episodes and not 10 as in the first season, after watching all the episodes in two days I must say that I am very satisfied with the result.
Considering how well written the first season was, I expected to find a high quality product in season 2, I knew that the creators would meet the expectations, and they did, in some twisted way Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese managed to complicate much more the plot, the paradoxes increase, the determinism argued in the development of events also increases, and unlike last season in this season the mystery is reduced and focuses more on time travel and science fiction.
Eight episodes that maintain a fast pace, and an accelerated transition, are few or almost null moments in which the viewer can take a break, in each scene different events occur while the characters interact with each other.
And although we might think that after the first season basically the story was complete, the events that take place in this new season clearly show us that this is not the case, things are more confusing now, the timelines increase with new characters and others that are not new but now have a younger or older version, not only a new timeline is created in 2053, but also in 1921, and it is possible that in the next season we will see a new one in 1887, that is, a complete madness.
The work of direction, photography and script has the same quality as the previous season, and I personally consider that the work done by the actors even improves, now their characters are more complex and acquire a greater dimension, if you thought that you knew everything about life, origin, and the evolution of each of them, you are wrong, Dark still has things that can surprise us, and I feel that we will not know the true nature of everything we are seeing until the last second of the last episode.
I think this is one of the best series of today, and if manages to conclude its story successfully in the next season, and I hope that happens, then it will probably become one of the best series in history.
