Curchi Monastery is listed on the UNESCO Architectural Monuments List. The cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of Our Lord was built between 1862-72, following a project by Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli - one of the Italian archtects who projected most of St. Petersburg.
