Sex ratio at birth Dips in 17 of 21 states: India

Sex ratio at birth is always a challenge for different countries and in INDIA it's huge.
By saying sex ratio at birth, I mean no. of child girls over 1000 child boys.
In some countries this ratio is more than 1 as a result of world war and all. But in Inda it's less than 1, i.e. 850 to 950 per 1000 boys in different states of INDIA
The main reason for this being Dowry and more dominance was given to males.
Today it's not the same as it was years ago but now also the ratio is not very impressive.
17 of 21 large stated recorded fall in SRB
Some to name are Gujarat, haryana, uttarakhand, maharashtra.
And there are some states which recorded rise in the ratio such as punjab, Uttarpradesh, Bihar.
It's really ironic that the states which are considered more developed have poor SRB while those not considered developed have shown better SRB or increased compared to base year ratio.
