In what will come as a complete shock to many readers, in some states it is still legal for a husband to rape his wife.
One of those states is Maryland. To the credit of the Maryland General Assembly, they are trying to repeal the "spousal rape defense" law that creates the legal loop-hole allowing a man to rape his wife.
The Maryland House passed that bill the other day (Maryland 2020 HB590) by a vote of 127 to 9.
Here are the 9 miserable excuses of human beings who voted against that repeal.
These 9 human beings, all of the Republicans, voted for the continuation of a loophole that ensures it remains legal for man to rape his wife.
If you live in Maryland and one of these men is your representative, it's worth remembering during the next election.
