If they so much as bought a loaf of bread in any…startled he interrupted his thoughts and sent an agent to ask Arthur a question. ‘Do the children have any money?’ and the answer demanded they have another meeting.

The story has provoked many discussions, but what thrilled us was when our Cherine tried to mimic the other Cherine and heal plants. We don’t have any sick plants in Freddie, but there are some that are not in the right soil and are stunted. She succeeded! Elated we all tried and we all succeeded, even Robbie, Alki, Allan and so on. We called in the Inguel and Kinytians and shared with them. They are trying their abilities in a more scientific manner. They are depriving some plants of water or nutrients and then they will try to heal them.
I think our experiments would have ended there, at least for now, if not for little Tseri. Since Cherine succeeded by trying your idea, Tseri wondered why shouldn’t our healers be able to heal as they do in your story. She kept her thoughts to herself and waited until we arrived and descended to the planet and then she tried on some sick animals. Her screaming and then ours soon had us surrounded by bemused Orati. Arthur, we’ve been limiting ourselves because of our own beliefs. No more slow healing, everything happens almost instantly, although, since our lives are real and not just a story, we cannot bring back the dead as the other Cherine does, only in the way we have until now. We’re having a party to celebrate and I promise it’s going to be a wild night tonight for little Tseri.

The first thing the workers (I’ll call the Normals here to help ‘workers’ as a kind of shortcut) did was to travel to each and every town, village and even to the smallest communities. They examined the lay of the land and where they felt the houses could be flooded, or rocks tumble down on them and so on, they asked us to help move them. We did so by building them new homes which were also safer and capable of withstanding up to medium intensity earthquakes, building in safe spots to protect them if the buildings collapse. We did not allow Aganthi to build any houses as I want her to stay with Efineh and help her handle the centres.
Since we informed them of the dangers they will face, we are being flooded by visitors and those who want to learn. We never use the axiom that knowledge is power as they are likely to misunderstand it. We say, knowledge brings wisdom. It may not be strictly true, but it could lead them in the right direction.
In a way I’m glad so many volunteers are here, I’m definitely not cut out for this kind of work and there is so much knowledge I am ignorant of. This has been a potent incentive for me to study a wider range of subjects.
