Steemits Got Talent Entry 1 Week #4 - THE TRAP OF BEAUTY (Original Poetry)

They call me beautiful,
but it doesn't EXHILARATE ME,
I don't want to be one of those people,
who DISCRIMINATE ME,

by saying thank you,
I don't want to SUPPORT,
A division of humans, I don't want to ACCORD.

You need not be happy,
when someone praises your facial FEATURES,
coz there is no holy book chapter,
that explains the concept of beauty
of any CREATURE.

the truth is that beauty can only be DEFINED,
when a person adopts, the traits of the DIVINE.

We humans have grown INTELLIGENCE,
& we thus don't bias genders, caste, color or RELIGION.
But still asleep, we need to REALIZE,
people's beauty shouldn't be a base to CATEGORIES.

We all have our own definitions of BEAUTY,
some people consider it fairness,
some examine the placement of
eyes, nose, lips and BOOTY.

others change their definitions from TIME TO TIME,
sometimes praising a healthy figure,
sometimes being skinny is how beauty is DEFINED.
We trust a criteria with no rigid explanation,
the criteria of beauty is different from MIND TO MIND.

We all have our own PERCEPTION,
The discrimination of ugly and beauty,
is nothing but a DECEPTION.
It's time that we open our EYES,
Behave logical and behave WISE.

How can we declare something to be alluring,
when its only our opinions,
that makes this CHOICE.

Opinions which are different according to every PERSON,
which carry impermanence
and a huge likelihood of OBVERSION.

We trust these constantly reforming OPINIONS,
how idiotic are we, to trust such an OBLIVION.

Beauty is a trap, to trap you in the TEMPORARY,
because nothing remains beautiful forever,
& so the ugly need not WORRY.

No matter how good you look you still cannot assure
you'll find true LOVE,
there are people who leave even the mot gorgeous,
for money, peace and someone LUXURIOUS.

Don't ever trust a person who loves you for being PRETTY,
those who praise looks will leave you,
as soon as they find another BEAUTY.

By judging a person just by their looks,
we ignore so many of their other QUALITIES,
don't always call them just beautiful,
they also want to be recognized
by their other ABILITIES.

We are no-one to call a woman beautiful and the other UGLY,
because we were not given any certificate to judge between
the hideous and the LOVELY.

We need to stop DISCRIMINATING,
only then will we find,
the beauty in EVERYTHING.

We need to cognize that beauty is not in people or THINGS,
We need to realize that from mind does the beauty BEGINS.

So when beauty resides in our own perspective and not in other THINGS,
then let's make everything beautiful outside,
by being beautiful WITHIN.

Let us not crave,
TO BE, TO GET, TO SEE, the most BEAUTIFUL,
Let us understand that there is nothing repugnant in the world,
and everything is already BEAUTIFUL.
